Sophie Pinkstone

Sophie qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2020. She trained in our Summerwood Practice before transferring to our Newport Branch where she has been ever since. While working with us she has completed a certificate in Emergency and Critical Care as well as becoming a Clinical coach to mentor our student nurses. Sophie is one of our resident crazy cat ladies in the clinic. She has three rescue cats, Belle, Reggie and Pumpkin who she will talk about at any opportunity she gets and is always advocating for our feline patients!

In 2021 she helped us obtain our ISFM Silver Cat Friendly Clinic Award and is always looking for new ways for our feline patients to have as stress free a visit as possible! Sophie loves being in the outdoors and enjoys organising fundraisers with the team. She took part in the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge in 2023 and she will be walking the Cancer Research Big Hike in June 2024!

When Sophie isn't out walking you will find her curled up with her cats watching reality TV!
