FOUND PETS

And for all the reasons for reporting a lost pet, here’s another . . . we may have already been notified of its whereabouts!

If you find a dog/cat that you think may be lost, the first people to contact are the RSPCA – 08705 555999. (After checking of course, that the animal doesn’t wear a collar with a contact number on it!)

If the animal appears to be injured or distressed in any way, ask the RSPCA for a LOG NUMBER, then telephone our surgery for advice.

PLEASE NOTE: Whilst we will happily and willingly give every caller advice and information, we CANNOT treat lost/found pets without an RSPCA LOG NUMBER.

Please remember, somebody somewhere will be heartbroken that they have lost their pet – so you cannot keep a stray pet no matter how much you may want to. It must be returned to its rightful owner if that owner can be traced.

If you have lost your pet – or, found a stray – and would like to let, potentially, thousands of people know, visit Summerhill Vets Lost and Found Pets Newport Gwent Facebook page, to upload your request for help, or provide information. (Insert link)

BUT NEVER give out any of your personal details – other than a contact email address or mobile telephone number. Please do not upload images which include children.
